Harold Eugene Edgerton

Did you know that these images were actually scientific images using technology that would later become the standard flash? I love when I discover little factoids like that.

These were photographs done by Harold Eugene Edgerton, a professor of electrical engineering at MIT back in the 1950's. He studied the multi-flash strobe light and helped develop technology for taking photographs under water.

Michael Wandelmaier

I'm always inspired by Michael Wandelmaier's illustrations. I particularly like his creatures, all whom have great texture to them (they always seem scaly, or wooly, or slippery)
